Newman Police Department
The Newman Police Department responded to 59 calls for service and 54 officer-initiated calls for a total of 113 incidents from Jan. 23 to Jan. 29.
There were 17 cases opened and nine arrests. The department issued nine traffic citations, six criminal citations and 20 animal citations. Two vehicles were towed.
Arrests
Raymundo Hernandez Marquez, 35, of Newman was arrested on Jan. 23 for DUI and DUI .08 or more.
Rosemary Hernandez, 37, of Newman was arrested on Jan. 24 for two Stanislaus County misdemeanor warrants.
Ignacio Dominguez, 64, of Delhi was arrested on Jan. 25 for a Stanislaus County misdemeanor warrant.
Arturo Velazquez Zamora, 32, of Newman was arrested on Jan. 26 for driving with a license suspended for DUI.
Marc McDonald, 45, of Gustine was arrested on Jan. 26 for registration fraud, driving with a license suspended for DUI, a Stanislaus County misdemeanor warrant, and a Merced County misdemeanor warrant.
Emmanuel Jimenez Cruz, 29, of Newman was arrested on Jan. 27. The charge was not listed.
Manuel Simas, 63, of Newman was arrested on Jan. 27 for a Stanislaus County felony warrant.
Rigoberto Cornejo, 47, of Newman was arrested on Jan. 27 for a misdemeanor warrant.
Maria Cruz de Pinal, 42, of Newman was arrested on Jan. 29 for DUI, DUI .08 or more, driving on a license suspended for DUI, and felony child abuse without great bodily injury.
Gustine Police Department
Gustine police responded to several calls for service between Jan. 23 and Jan. 29, including reports of suspicious vehicles and two vandalism incidents.
Officers were dispatched Jan. 27 to the 800 block of Odilia Court for a suspicious vehicle. The call was handled and marked detail complete. The following day, police checked on another suspicious vehicle reported in the 700 block of Pointe Lourose Avenue; officers determined everything was OK.
