Orestimba 50+ Club
The Orestimba 50+ Club will be holding their regular meeting on April 5. The meeting will start at 1 p.m. at the L.J. Newman Building at 649 Orestimba Road. After the meeting there will be refreshments, raffle and Bingo.
The Gustine Senior Citizens
The Gustine Senior Citizens will meet on April 12. Doors open at 12 p.m. and the meeting is at 1 p.m. The meeting will be at the Al Goman Center in Gustine.
The Gustine Senior Citizens meet every second Friday of the month.
After a brief meeting there will be refreshments and Bingo.
Native Sons of the Golden West
John C. Fremont Parlor #293 Native Sons of the Golden West will hold their next dinner meeting on April 5. The location is now the OLM Parrish Hall #1 off Laurel Ave. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. with Bingo to follow. Those wishing to visit and play cards may come at 5 p.m. RSVP at 209-918-1451.
Newman Garden Club Spring Day Trip
The Newman Garden Club will be taking a spring trip to the Monterey area on April 23.
The trip will include a drive along the Monterey coast with stops at the Old Monterey Gardens, where you can view the Memory, Sensory and Cactus gardens, followed by a stroll on the wharf and lunch at a restaurant of your choosing.
The trip will then take the breath-taking drive along 17 Mile Drive, which has some incredible views along to the route to Pebble Beach.
The drive home will include a stop at Casa de Fruta.
The bus will depart at 8 a.m. from the south side of Schmidt Park in Gustine, at the baseball field parking lot, which is near the corner of Meredith Avenue and Highway 33. The bus will return to Gustine around 6 p.m.
The cost of the trip is $75 and includes the entry into 17 Mile Drive and a tip for the bus driver. There will be no refunds.
