Edward Manuel Gomes, known to many as Eddie, passed away peacefully at his home on August 5, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born and raised in Los Banos, California, Eddie was the son of Fred and Carmella Gomes. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service.

Eddie had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports. He also had a passion for parachuting and performed in exhibitions for large crowds. He and his wife, Thelma, were the proud owners of the El Rancho, a bar and restaurant they operated together in Santa Nella for several years.

In retirement, Eddie and Thelma made their home in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
