Thistle becoming a distant memory
Opinion

For those you have missed the effort, once again there were a number of farmers who provided a much needed service. From Gustine to Crows Landing there has been the elimination of various, much-hated thistle.

One may forget, between the railroad tracks and Highway 33, there was an absolute nightmare of thistle that had been growing for years. Now, there is little to find.

For those who haven’t forgot, dodging tumble weeds on Highway 33 was a major hazard. Having your car grill full of it and the scratching of your paint, is becoming history.

There should be a large amount of gratitude and thanks to those farmer for taking the time and expense, for achieving such a service.

A special thank you from myself.
