Warriors boys volleyball silence Bruins

RIVERBANK – In its only match last week, the Orestimba High boys volleyball team came away with a victory.

Facing Riverbank High’s squad inside the Bruins’ gym on March 18, the Warriors came away with a 3-0 win in a Trans-Valley League contest; the final scores were 25-8, 25-16, 25-14.

Orestimba (1-2 in the TVL, 4-8 overall) had various players contributing to the victory over the Bruins. Cade Lobo had eight kills and teammate Ethan Costa finished with four. Amado Cervantes and Mikie Mora each had two kills.

Lobo also had five aces, Costa four, Miguel Hernandez three and Romeo Gonzales two.

Upcoming games

On Monday, Orestimba hosted Ripon in a TVL match.

The Warriors play at Hilmar in their Westside rivalry contest inside the Yellowjackets’ gym on Wednesday. The match is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
