Gustine roared to life on July 3 as local drivers revved their engines and kicked up dust during the 40th annual Truck and Tractor Pull at Gustine High School, where the Valley Tractor Pullers Association teamed up with FFA students and Ag Boosters to deliver one of the town’s most celebrated summer traditions. This motorsport spectacle drew families, farmers, and horsepower fanatics from across the region for a night of torque, grit, and community spirit.

Drivers maneuvered their tractors down the dirt track in front of a packed crowd at the Gustine High School Football Stadium, each vehicle dragging a weighted sled that grew heavier with every yard. The event, known for its roaring engines and dramatic displays of power, helps fund FFA student programs—from public speaking contests to leadership conferences and hands-on ag education.

As tractors rumbled and dust flew, spectators cheered from the bleachers and concession stand lines stretched with hungry guests eyeing Silva linguica sandwiches and classic favorites, all while supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders. With banners fluttering and a 50/50 raffle stirring up excitement, Gustine’s milestone pull combined hometown pride with high-octane entertainment.
