Cody Stark, host of “Cody’s Caravan” on Good Day Sacramento, stands in front of the vibrant mural at the Al Goman Center during a recent visit to the city. Stark was in town last week filming a segment that spotlighted Gustine’s rich history and local charm. His stops included an interview with Mayor Pat Nagy, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Gustine Historical Museum with longtime volunteers Mary Ann Bloom and Pat Snoke, a peek inside the newly opened Scrawl, Scribble and Smirch bookstore, and a taste of local flavor at Wolfsen’s Meat Co. The mural behind him, featuring patriotic imagery and scenes from Gustine’s early days, served as a fitting backdrop for the segment’s celebration of community pride.
