NEWMAN — The Newman Warriors Youth Football and Cheer Organization is seeking volunteers to fill several board positions for the 2026–27 season, the group announced this week.
The organization is looking for community‑minded residents to serve in four roles: concessions, parent volunteer coordinator, player safety coordinator and sergeant‑at‑arms. Terms will run from March 2026 through March 2027.
Leaders said the openings offer an opportunity for parents and supporters to help guide the program, which serves dozens of young athletes in Newman and surrounding Westside communities. No prior board experience is required, and training will be provided.
In addition to board seats, the Warriors will also open several committee positions. Those roles are non‑executive and assist with events, projects and general program support — an option organizers say is ideal for residents who want to contribute without taking on a full leadership commitment.
The organization emphasized that volunteers play a key role in maintaining a safe, organized and positive environment for players and families.
