Stanislaus County Seeks Applicants For Farmworker Advisory Committee

Stanislaus County is now accepting applications for its newly established Farmworker Advisory Committee. The committee will include ten farmworkers—two from each supervisorial district—and one representative each from the following stakeholder groups: the Agriculture Industry, a Farm Labor Contractor, the Stanislaus County Agricultural Advisory Board, and a community-based organization serving the County’s farmworker population.

Applications are available in both English and Spanish, and the deadline to apply is July 15, 2025.

The FAC will serve as a forum to elevate the voices of farmworkers and provide insight into the challenges they face, including issues related to housing, access to safety-net services, health, working conditions, and immigration.

The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors approved the formation of the committee as a one-year pilot project on November 12, 2024. Each committee member will receive a $100 stipend per meeting, for up to six meetings per year.

For more information or to apply, please contact Linda Pinfold, Stanislaus County Agricultural Commissioner via email or by phone: (209) 525-4730.
