The Newman Fire Station responded to 28 calls for service from March 20 to March 28. The calls included 17 for Emergency Medical Services, three vehicle collisions, two public assistance calls, two fire alarm calls, two unknown fire calls, one rescue call and one vegetation fire call.

At 3:22 p.m. on March 20, the Newman Station was dispatched for a multiple-vehicle collision in the 1900 block of N Street. On arrival, the fire crews found two vehicles, one blocking the roadway. The fire crews secured the vehicles and evaluated the occupants. Minor injuries were reported, and damages were estimated at $2,600.

At 12:42 p.m. March 21, the Newman Station was dispatched for a multiple-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 5 and Stuhr Road. On arrival, the fire crew found a vehicle blocking the center divider and one vehicle off the roadway. The fire crew secured the cars and assisted the occupants. Minor injuries were reported, and damages were estimated at $13,000.
