Gustine Fire Dept.
The Gustine Fire Department in cooperation with CAL FIRE ran a total of nine calls from Feb. 5 to Feb. 10. The calls included three for Emergency Medical Services, four alarms, one vehicle collision and one vegetation fire.
Newman Fire Dept.
The Newman Fire Department responded to 24 calls for service from Feb. 2 to Feb. 8. The calls included 14 for Emergency Medical Services, one rescue call, four vehicle collisions, one fire alarm, one public assist and three wires down calls.
At 7:40 a.m. on Feb. 2, the Newman Station was dispatched for a vehicle collision in the area of Fresno Street and T Street. On arrival, the fire crew found two vehicles with one blocking the intersection. The fire crews assessed the occupants of the vehicles and determined that one occupant had minor injuries. The property damages were estimated at $2,000.
At 3:43 p.m. on Feb. 4, the Newman Station was dispatched for wires down in the area of Stuhr Road and Eastin Road. On arrival, the fire crew found a pole arching in the middle of the roadway. No injuries or damages to report.
At 5:08 p.m. on Feb. 4, the Newman Station was dispatched for wires down in the area of the 1400 block of Main Street. On arrival, the fire crew found a tree that fell into a pole with electrical wires down. The fire crew contacted PG&E and secured the area. No injuries or damages to report.
At 9:09 a.m. on Feb. 5, the Newman Station was dispatched for a vehicle collision in the area of Interstate 5 and Fink Road. On arrival, the fire crew found a single vehicle blocking the slow lane with an occupant out of the vehicle. The injuries and damages are unknown.
At 6:21 p.m. on Feb. 8, the Newman Station was dispatched for a vehicle collision in the area of Hills Ferry and River Road. On arrival, the fire crews found two vehicles with two occupants. The fire crews secured the vehicles and obtained driver information. Injuries were minor with no reported damages.
