The Newman Fire Station responded to 19 calls for service from July 25 to 31. The calls included 15 for Emergency Medical Services, two false alarms, one vehicle collision and one vegetation fire.

 On July 30, at 6:51 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched to a vegetation fire in the area of Eastin Road and Moorhead Road. The fire crew arrived to find a small roadside grass fire. The fire crew quickly extinguished the fire without incident. There were no reports of injuries or damages, and the cause was undetermined.
