Gustine Fire Department

The Gustine Fire Department responded to 21 calls from June 30 to July 8. The calls included Emergency Medical Services, gas leaks, motor vehicle collisions, multiple debris fires and a structure fire on July 4.

 

Newman Fire Department

The Newman Fire Station responded to 33 calls for service from July 3 to July 10. The calls included 15 Emergency Medical Services calls, two illegal burns, one trash fire, two false alarms, one rescue call, one smoke check, two vehicle collisions, one public assist, two fire assist calls, five vegetation fires and one vehicle fire.

On July 4, at 5:36 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched to a mutual aid in the City of Gustine. Upon arrival, the fire crews were assigned to assist in extinguishing a structure fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the damage is unknown. There were no reports of injury.

On July 4, at 10:52 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a trash fire near the 27000 block of Hardin Road. Upon arrival, the fire crews quickly extinguished a trash fire. There were no reported injuries or damage estimates, and the cause is unknown.

On July 6, at 11:10 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a vehicle accident in the area of Azevedo Road and Villa Manucha Road. Upon arrival, the fire crews found a single vehicle that was in the canal. The fire crews diligently worked to secure the vehicle and rescue the occupant. There were reports of minor injury, and the damages are estimated at $17,271.

On July 7, at 10:43 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a vegetation fire at the Crow's Landing landfill. The fire crews were assigned to assist in extinguishing a trash fire.  There were no reports of injuries or damages.
