Gustine Fire Department
The Gustine Fire Department responded to 15 calls for service from Sept. 8 to Sept. 15. The calls included seven for Emergency Medical Services, three vegetation fires, one structure fire, two public assists, one vehicle fire and one code blue call.
Newman Fire Department
The Newman Fire Station responded to 18 calls for service from Sept. 5 to Sept. 11. The calls included 13 for Emergency Medical Services, three vehicle collisions, one potential structure fire, and one smoke check.
On September 9, at 1:27 a.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a potential structure fire in the area of Red Lion Way and Soho Way. On arrival, the fire crews found that an outlet had electrical issues. The crews secured the power to the outlet and notified the homeowner to get an electrician to evaluate the situation. There are no damages or injuries to report.
On September 10, at 1:51 a.m., the Newman Station was dispatched to a vehicle collision in the area of Orestimba Road and Bell Road. On arrival, the fire crews found a single vehicle that had rolled off the roadway. The occupant suffered major injuries, and the vehicle was secured. The damages were estimated at $3,600.
On September 11, at 11:47 a.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a vehicle collision in the area of N Street and Inyo Avenue. On arrival, the fire crews found two vehicles blocking the roadway. The occupants suffered minor injuries, and the vehicles were secured. The damages were estimated at $13,000.
