PATTERSON — Authorities are searching for a Patterson man suspected in the fatal stabbing of his brother last week in a quiet residential neighborhood.
On Tuesday, August 26, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a stabbing in the 200 block of El Circulo. Upon arrival, they found 45-year-old Ernesto Flores unresponsive and bleeding as paramedics provided emergency care. He was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, where he later died from his injuries.
Due to the severity of the incident, the Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Unit (MCU) took over the investigation. Detectives quickly identified the suspect as 46-year-old Geronimo Flores, Ernesto’s brother, also of Patterson.
As of Monday, Geronimo Flores remains at large. Investigators say he is known to frequent areas around Patterson and may travel by bicycle or scooter. His current whereabouts are unknown, and authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information.
“This is a tragic case involving two siblings, and we are doing everything we can to locate Mr. Flores,” said a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office.
