Newman Police Department

The Newman Police Department received 82 calls for service and reported 44 officer-initiated calls for a total of 126 incidents from May 2 to May 8.

There were 22 cases opened and five arrests. The department issued three traffic citations, one criminal citation and towed one vehicle.

 

Arrests

Victor Garden, 39, of Redwood City was arrested on May 3 for being drunk in public.

Alessandro Diaz Villanueva, 24, of Newman was arrested on May 5 or being drunk in public, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cameron Carter, 44, of Newman was arrested on May 6 for a warrant.

Alejandro Mata, 20, of Newman was arrested on May 6 for reckless driving.

 

Gustine Police Department

Mohamed Salehali Rashed, 55, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. on May 6 I the 500 block of 5th Street for manufacturing, possessing and/or selling a cane sword.

Cristian Agustin Gonzalez Quiroz, 37, was arrested at 7:13 p.m. on May 7 in the 700 block of South Avenue for DUI, DUI of .08 or more and vehicle code violations.
