Newman Police Department
The Newman Police Department received 90 calls for service and reported 77 officer-initiated calls for a total of 167 incidents from Oct. 17 to Oct. 23.
The department opened 17 cases and made seven arrests. The department issued seven traffic citations, three criminal citations and had one vehicle towed.
Arrests
Daniel Johnson, 53, of Tracy was arrested on Oct. 18 for a misdemeanor warrant out of Stanislaus County.
 Daniel Morales, 42, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 18 for obstructing or resisting police and violating a court order, both misdemeanors.
 Manuel Simas, 63, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 19 for obstructing or resisting police, a misdemeanor; attempting to bribe an executive officer, a felony; and felony vandalism of $400 or more.
 Henrry Jeronimo Mantar, 22, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 20 for driving with a license suspended for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more, and DUI, all misdemeanors.
 Alessandro Diaz Villanueva, 24, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 20 for five misdemeanor warrants out of Stanislaus County, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors.
 Urbano Garcia, 32, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 21 for disorderly conduct involving alcohol, a misdemeanor.
 Matthew Ramirez Dynes, 23, of Newman was arrested on Oct. 23 for driving with a license suspended for DUI, a misdemeanor.
Gustine Police Department
Gustine Police Respond to Disturbance, Suspicious Vehicle, and Court Order Violation
GUSTINE — Officers with the Gustine Police Department responded to several incidents during the week of Oct. 17 to Oct. 23, including a disturbance, a suspicious vehicle report, and a misdemeanor violation of a court order.
On Oct. 23 at approximately 8:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Sycamore Avenue for a reported peace disturbance involving a burglar alarm. The situation was resolved without further incident.
On Oct. 20 at 7:04 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near Linden Avenue and Brenda Drive. Officers investigated and determined the vehicle checked out OK. The call was closed at 7:13 p.m.
On Oct. 22 at 9:39 p.m., officers were called to Vaz Rentals on the 300 block of 5th Street for a reported violation of a court order related to domestic violence. The incident was classified as a misdemeanor.
Arrests
Khayala Marie Passarelli, 28, was arrested at 1:48 p.m. on Oct. 23 in the area of 600 Eureka for violating a court order related to domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
