Newman Police Department

The Newman Police Department received 83 calls for service and reported 246 officer-initiated calls for a total of 229 incidents from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2.

There were 19 cases opened and six arrests. The department issued 5 traffic citations, two criminal citation, nine parking citations and one animal citation.

 

Arrests

Daniel Morales, 42 of Newman was arrested on Sept. 26 for destroying/concealing evidence (misdemeanor), possession of controlled substance (misdemeanor), and violation of court order (misdemeanor).

A 17-year-old boy of Newman was arrested on Sept. 28 for driving on a suspended license.

Hector Nuno, 38 of Gustine was arrested on Sept. 29 for driving without a license and a warrant.

Alessandro Diaz Villanueva, 24 of Newman was arrested on Sept. 30 for fight/challenge fight in public place (misdemeanor) and disorderly conduct.



Gustine Police Department

David Cortes Cruz, 24 was arrested at 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 28 in the area of 2nd Avenue and 1st Street for DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol with 0.08 percent blood alcohol content, and driving without a license.

Khayala Marie Passarelli, 28 was arrested at 1:08 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the area of Grove Avenue and South Avenue for failure to appear on a felony charge and a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.
