Dorothy Emily Azevedo, 97 of Gustine, CA passed away on November 23, 2025 in Newman, CA. 

Mrs. Azevedo was born in Gustine and was a lifelong resident. She worked as a school bus driver for Newman and Gustine for 30 years, she also worked at Avoset in Gustine. Dorothy was a member of the Gustine Senior Citizens and Gustine Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed taking care of her garden, going to high school games, playing bingo and going to the casinos.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Tim (Irmie) Azevedo of Newman and Mike (Denise) Azevedo of Gustine; daughter, Kathie (Dave) Souza of Lincoln, CA; grandchildren, Chad Azevedo, Shane Azevedo, Jennifer Saunders and Karissa Koeppl as well as 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Azevedo who passed in 2006; brothers, Joe Souza, John Souza, Charlie Souza and Bill Souza; sisters, Alice Martin, Elsie Beffa, Ida Mendonca and her parents, Manuel and Luzia Souza.

A Visitation will be held from 8:30am to 10:00am, followed by a Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles
in Gustine.
