Newman Fire Department

The Newman Fire Station responded to 22 calls for service from Oct. 10 to Oct. 16. The calls included 15 Emergency Medical Services, one smoke check call, one illegal burn, one fire assist, three vegetations fires and one false alarm.

On October 12, at 12:36 a.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a vegetation fire in the area of Draper Road and Orestimba Road. On arrival, the fire crews found a roadside fire. The fire crews quickly worked to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined, and there are no injuries or damages to report.

On October 12, at 6:41 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a smoke check in the area of Jensen Road and Highway 33. On arrival, the fire crews found a burn pile. The crew contacted the property owner and notified them of the no-burn ordinance. The fire was extinguished, and there was no damage to report or injury.

 

Gustine Fire Department

The Gustine Fire Department responded to 12 calls from Oct. 10 to Oct. 16. The calls included seven for Emergency Medical Services, two vegetation fires, one vehicle fire and two other types of calls.
