TURLOCK — Stanislaus State has named dozens of students from Gustine and Newman to its Spring 2025 Dean’s List, with two local scholars — Victoria Gomez of Gustine and Victor Estrada of Newman — receiving special recognition for their academic excellence.
The Dean’s List honors students who earned a grade‑point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. University leaders said the achievement reflects determination, discipline and a commitment to academic growth.
Gustine’s Victoria Gomez, honored in the College of Science, was highlighted by the university for her exceptional academic performance.
“Achieving academic excellence requires perseverance, discipline and a clear vision for the future,” said Martina Ramirez, dean of the College of Science. “Our Dean’s List honorees demonstrate the heart and tenacity it takes to thrive at Stan State and beyond.”
Newman’s Victor Estrada was also recognized individually for his achievements in the College of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
“We are incredibly proud of our students who have earned a place on the Dean’s List,” said Provost Rich Ogle. “Their academic accomplishments reflect a strong work ethic and a steadfast pursuit of excellence that will serve them well in their careers and as leaders in their communities.”

Both Victoria Gomez and Victor Estrada, university officials said, exemplify the qualities Stanislaus State hopes to instill in its students — leadership, resilience and a commitment to serving their communities.
