Gustine Fire Department

The Gustine Fire Department responded to eight calls from April 20 to April 26. The calls included four Emergency Medical Services, one vegetation fire, two vehicle collisions, including one pin-in and one false alarm.

Newman Fire Department

The Newman Fire Department responded to 16 calls for service from April 16 to April 23. The calls included 11 Emergency Medical Services, one mutual aid call, one wire down call and three public assists.

On April 20, at 1:52 p.m., the Newman Station was dispatched for a wire down near L Street and Inyo Street. On arrival, the fire crews found that a PG&E power line was hanging low enough that traffic could not pass safely. The fire crews contacted PG&E and directed traffic. The downed power lines were caused by a truck that hit them. No injuries or additional damages to report.
