Jonathan Sousa Gois, age 36, was born in Turlock Emanuel Hospital on January 20, 1990 and passed away in Newport Beach August 20, 2026.

Jonathan had a heart of gold, compassion for others, and a smile that lit up every room. He was never afraid of hard work and always gave his best. After graduating from Gustine High School in 2008, he chose careers centered on serving people and took great pride in everything he did.

After earning his insurance license, Jonathan worked at RICO Insurance from 2016 to 2019. He then moved to Orange County, where he continued working in sales until his passing. His dedication earned him many awards, including recognition for achieving the highest sales at Mr. Nice Guys in August 2026. Wherever he went, his brilliance, work ethic, and heart for helping others brought success and lasting friendships.

Jonathan’s favorite places were the beach and Goodwill. He believed having two of everything was always better than one and that no one could ever have enough shoes or clothes. He never left home without sunglasses—even in pouring rain—and loved house music and traveling to music festivals with friends.

Jonathan will forever be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, contagious laughter, and love for his family and friends. His compassion was a gift to everyone who knew him, and his legacy of kindness will be treasured and carried forward. We love you, Jonathan.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his mother, Amelia Gois. He is survived by his father, Miguel X. Gois, and his siblings, Miguel S. Gois, Gilbert Gois, and Ermelinda Machado.

Friends and family are invited to Hillview Funeral Chapel in Newman on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to pay their respects and support his family.
