NEWMAN — Fans of Journey’s signature arena‑rock sound will have a chance to relive the band’s biggest hits when Journey Revisited performs Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. at the West Side Theatre.

The Northern California tribute band, founded in 2011, is known for its faithful recreation of Journey’s album‑oriented rock era — all without pre‑recorded tracks or digital vocal enhancements. The group has built a reputation for high‑energy shows that often sell out venues across the region.

Journey Revisited features dual lead vocalists Frank House and Kevin Jachetta, who bring to life the classic Steve Perry–Gregg Rolie vocal blend. Guitarist Val Popovic, bassist Dave Sousa and drummer David Hawkes round out the lineup, each with decades of professional experience on national and international stages.

The band’s setlist includes Journey staples such as “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Wheel in the Sky,” “Lights,” “Separate Ways” and “Any Way You Want It.” Their performances are known for note‑for‑note musicianship and an emphasis on capturing the spirit and energy of Journey’s original live shows.

House, a Bay Area native, has performed with numerous regional bands and studied at the Ford School of Voice in San Francisco. Sousa has toured and recorded with artists including Ronnie Montrose, Steve Vai, Robin Trower and members of the Doobie Brothers. Jachetta began performing at age 8 and has shared stages with members of Tina Turner, Joe Cocker and Eddie Money. Popovic has played with national acts and appeared in the rockumentary “Tribute the Movie.” Hawkes, a Berklee‑trained drummer, has performed with musicians ranging from Cornelius Bumpus to Pete Escovedo.

Tickets for the Newman performance are available online through Ticketleap. The West Side Theatre is located at 1331 Main St. For more information, call 209‑862‑4490 or email info@westsidetheatre.org.
