Stanislaus State has recognized dozens of Newman, Gustine and Santa Nella students for academic excellence during the Fall 2025 term, highlighting strong local achievement across multiple colleges and programs.
Students named to the Dean’s List earned a grade‑point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. University leaders said the honor reflects both academic discipline and long‑term commitment.
“We are incredibly proud of our students who have earned a place on the Dean’s List,” Provost Rich Ogle said in the announcement. “Their academic accomplishments reflect a strong work ethic and a steadfast pursuit of excellence.”
College of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
Newman honorees include Yareli Anaya, Kaylee Arciniega, Alexzander Cuevas, Ana Maria Duran Quinonez, Xitlally Herrera, Evelyn Lepe Pelayo, Yvette Ornelas, Alondra Parra, Lilliana Plata, Angel Robles Navarro, Sharon Rodriguez Martinez and Blake Vaz.
Gustine honorees include Biry Mondragon Araiza, Briana Pedroso, Ralph Rodrigues and Michael Salsa.
Dean Jim Tuedio said the students “exhibited exceptional focus and determination to excel in the academic arena, embodying core values at the heart of the Warrior Spirit.”
College of Science
Newman students named to the Dean’s List include Arissa Anderson, Nayo Cardoza Demorais, Emily Gonzalez, Ruby Guzman, Citlali Lopez, Sebastian Martinez, Jocelyn Nanez, Idabel Paz and Zachary Wooles.
Gustine honorees include Kailyn Brocato‑Gabat, Cynthia Martinez‑Ramirez, Jillian Nunes and Kevin Sheppard. Santa Nella’s Melissa Lugo also earned recognition.
“Achieving academic excellence requires perseverance, discipline and a clear vision for the future,” said Martina Ramirez, dean of the College of Science. “Our Dean’s List honorees demonstrate the heart and tenacity it takes to thrive at Stan State and beyond.”
College of Business Administration
Newman honorees include Baldemar Bucio Rios, Pablo Gonzalez, Brandon Melo, Marlene Nunez Torres and Bryan Rahman.
Gustine’s Anthony Herrera‑Noguez, majoring in business administration, was also named to the Dean’s List.
College of Education, Kinesiology and Social Work
Newman honorees include Karen Ascencio, Stephanie Bran Chaidez, Kalissa Ceja, Valeria Gallardo, Priscila Gonzalez Alvarez, Laura Hernandez, Cristian Herrera Hernandez, Jimena Lozano, Gisel Mendez, Jacqueline Mendez, Baleria Murillo Cerna, Sebastian Navarro, Margaret Oliveira, Kali Reeves, Gabriela Sumano Fernandez and Amanda Vargas.
Gustine honorees include Patty Garcia‑Gomez, Esmeralda Sanchez and Tianah Vitorino.
Additional Stan State Honors
Stanislaus State also recognized Anahi Alvarez of Gustine for earning a place on the Fall 2025 Dean’s List for Academic Excellence.
SNHU President’s List
Eduardo Cerna of Newman was named to the Spring 2026 President’s List at Southern New Hampshire University. According to SNHU, “full‑time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade‑point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List.”
Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society
Mikaela Warde of Newman was elected to membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at California State University, Stanislaus. Membership is by invitation only and limited to the top academic performers. The society’s mission is to “cultivate a community that celebrates and advances the love of learning.”
Trine University President’s List
At Trine University in Indiana, Drew Felber of Newman, majoring in mechanical engineering, and Sky Felber of Newman, majoring in marketing, were named to the Spring 2026 President’s List. Students must complete at least 12 hours and earn a GPA between 3.750 and 4.000 to qualify.
