The Stanislaus Arts Council (SAC) recently unveiled its latest initiative, the Stanislaus Arts Council Grant Program for the fiscal year 2024-25. This new funding initiative is designed to support artists, arts educators, organizations, and collaborations based in Stanislaus County, fostering the development and presentation of arts and cultural-based projects. Eligible projects include classes, exhibits, festivals, performances, screenings, readings, and workshops that are accessible to the public.

The Stanislaus Arts Council intends to award up to $5,000 in grants, consisting of five grants valued at $1,000 each. Matching funds are not required. Projects supported by the grant must take place between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. Detailed application guidelines and the application form can be found on the Stanislaus Arts Council website at www.stanislausarts.org/sacgrant. The SAC Grant Program will utilize a rigorous review process, focusing on artistic and educational excellence, community impact, and the ability to fulfill the proposed project. A panel of reviewers will score applications, and funds will be awarded to those with the highest overall scores.

Application deadline is Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 with the Arts Council review scheduled for Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m. at the Mistlin Gallery, 1015 J St., Modesto. Grant awards will be announced in May or June, 2024.

Stanislaus County resident artists, arts educators, and organizations are eligible to apply. All artistic disciplines, cultural projects, and temporary public art projects relevant to the county are welcome. Collaborative proposals are encouraged, with a designated Project Leader managing the project.

The Stanislaus Arts Council promotes and uplifts artists and creative endeavors in Stanislaus County. SAC is dedicated to nurturing creativity, enriching communities, and fostering a vibrant arts scene in Stanislaus County.
