The annual Gustine Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt at Harry Schmidt Park unfolded with seamless joy this past Easter, kicking off promptly at 10 a.m. and concluding a mere two minutes later at 10:02 a.m.
Despite its brief duration, the event proved to be an overwhelming success, drawing a crowd of over 1,000 enthusiastic participants according to a Lions Club spokesperson.
The park buzzed with excitement as children aged 1 to 10 eagerly searched for hidden treasures. The rapid conclusion of the hunt was a testament to the sheer number of eager young participants and the abundance of colorful eggs scattered throughout the park.
Beyond the thrill of the egg hunt itself, the event fostered a vibrant community atmosphere with numerous local vendors present. Attendees had the opportunity to browse offerings from organizations such as The Redskins Youth Football and Cheer, T’s Designs, Relay for Life, and Ashlyn’s Creations, among others. The strong turnout not only highlighted the community's support for the Lions Club but also showcased the diverse and engaged spirit of Gustine.
The Gustine Lions Club extends its sincere gratitude to all who attended and contributed to the day's success. They warmly invite everyone to join them again next year for another fantastic Easter Egg Hunt at Schmidt Park in Easter 2026, promising another morning filled with wonderful people and egg-hunting excitement.
