GUSTINE — The Riverbank Bruins delivered a defensive showcase and unleashed a relentless passing attack Wednesday night, shutting out the Gustine Reds 33-0 in a commanding non-league girls flag football win.

After winning the toss and deferring, Riverbank immediately pressured the Reds’ offense. Gustine opened with a quick four-and-out, and although the Reds briefly held firm with an early defensive stop, momentum swung fast. Following another Gustine punt, the Bruins broke the scoreless start with a touchdown drive. A missed extra point kept the lead at 6-0 after the first quarter.

The second quarter belonged entirely to Riverbank. After a series of exchanged punts, the Bruins pieced together a sharp drive and scored with 1:58 left in the half, adding a two-point conversion for a 14-0 advantage. Gustine’s offense continued to struggle against Riverbank’s deep coverage, punting again with 1:13 remaining. The Bruins capitalized on the short field, punching in another touchdown with 31 seconds left to take a 20-0 lead into halftime.
