ESCALON – In its only Trans-Valley League match last week, the Orestimba High boys volleyball team was seeking its first win in more than a month.

But the Escalon High boys squad wasted no time in posting a 3-0 win on April 6; the final scores were 25-14, 25-18, 26-24.

The victory also gives Escalon the sweep over the Warriors this season. The Cougars won 3-1 inside Orestimba’s gym on March 11.

The last time Orestimba (1-7 in the TVL, 4-16 overall) recorded a win was on March 18, a league contest at Riverbank with a 3-0 sweep.

Cade Lobo had a productive match for the Warriors against the Cougars with 12 digs and 10 kills.

Warrior teammate Bryant Badong followed with 14 assists and 12 digs.

Ethan Costa finished the match with five kills for Orestimba. Steven Aguilar had seven digs, Efron Gonzalez six and Costa five.
