GUSTINE — The Millennium Falcons controlled the pace from the opening whistle Wednesday night, rolling to a 39‑0 win over the Gustine Reds in a game defined by early momentum swings and red‑zone stands that ultimately went the visitors’ way.

Gustine opened with promise after winning the coin toss, as Jackie Chavez (21) ripped off a seven‑yard gain on the first play from scrimmage. But Millennium’s defense tightened quickly, forcing a punt and flipping field position. The Falcons capitalized, stacking up 20 first‑quarter points to seize command.

The second quarter turned into a defensive duel. Both teams traded interceptions, with Gustine’s secondary keeping the deficit manageable until a late turnover proved costly. Millennium converted the final pick of the half into a touchdown with one second remaining. Isabella Haro blocked the extra point, sending Gustine into halftime trailing 26‑0.

Millennium received to start the third quarter and struck immediately, scoring on a two‑play drive capped by a run around the right edge. The point‑after extended the lead to 33‑0.
