Continuing its non-league slate, Orestimba High flag football narrowly beat Central Catholic High, 13-7, last Wednesday.

Junior quarterback Salece Machado threw for 212 yards with two touchdowns, increasing her total to 17 six games in. Senior athlete Imelda Beltran was the recipient of those TD as she recorded 145 yards on 11 catches.
The Warriors got on the board first in the second quarter with a touchdown pass from Machado and an extra point to lead 7-0. Later in the period, the junior quarterback threw for another TD to lead 13-0 going into the second half.
Eventually, the Raiders scored a TD to trail 13-7 in the third quarter.
Late in the fourth quarter, Central Catholic drove down to the Warriors’ 10-yard line with an opportunity to win the game. Just as it seemed Orestimba was able to receive its first home loss, senior defensive back Juliana Figueroa gets the interception to keep the Warriors undefeated.
