PATTERSON — A Creekside Middle School teacher was arrested July 29 after Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies identified him as the suspect in a child‑pornography investigation, authorities said.
Kevin Olson, 61, of Patterson, was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on suspicion of possessing child pornography. Deputies assigned to Patterson Police Services responded to a report that an adult male was believed to have illicit images, and detectives later determined Olson was employed as a teacher at Creekside Middle School.
The school district has been notified and has taken steps to ensure student safety, according to the sheriff’s office. Investigators said they have found no evidence that Olson sexually abused or exploited any students.
